I am trying to prepare 4-methoxy-1-(phenylethynyl)benzene by Sonogashira coupling from 4-bromoanisole and phenylacetylene in Et₂NH + PdCl2(PPh₃)₂ and CuI 70°C overnight.

The thing is it's impossible to isolate pure product by Flash chromatography. It always comes out with impurities, after flash I must recrystallize it.

Anyone got any experience with these compounds?
