Metal Carboxylates.
« on: April 27, 2006, 07:25:58 AM »
Hi
Can anyone direct me to/ or provide some information on the solubility of metal (esp, Fe, Ni, Cu and Zn) carboxylates (1-10 C). I know heavy metals tend to form insoluble carboxylates and alkali metal carboxylates tend to be soluble but i'm not sure about these lighter transtion metals.

Cheers, usefull table
But it only has small MW carboxylates, would the solubility decrease with increasing chain length? Also what effect do multiple carboxyl groups have?

For higher carboxylates solubility will be much smaller
