How to Build any ion in GaussView?

How do you construct an ion in Gaussian? I am using the visual interface GaussView. Say, I have a neutral structure, how do I add or remove an electron? I found no reference in the manual about how to do this.
Thank you

The Gaussian user manual contains details about this in the following link:
http://www.gaussian.com/g_tech/g_ur/m_molspec.htm
In geeneral, learning about Gaussian from the help manual is probably not the best approach.
You'd be better off searching for free online tutorials or use YouTube to get you started on the basics.
