I need to remove borax coating with a piece of gold. What is the optimum concentration of sulfuric acid to use? Just enough to remove borx and not do any harn to the gold. Thanks

Sulfuric acid will not attack gold, if it is real gold and not an alloy. Borax schould be solouble in water already.

Just submerse the sample in boiling hot water and leave it the for a few hours, borax should dissolve. Also gold is very chemical resistant, so don't worry, your gold will not be lost!
