Hi everybody
We want to compare, at laboratory scale, the malic acid drying process in a rotary kiln and in a fluidized bed. We start with a malic acid that has around 6% of H2O. We weren't able to go below 3% even for long periods (3 hrs.) The temperature was between 80C and 110C. At 110C the malic acid starts to melt.
If somebody has an experience on that type of process we will be very glad to hear some coments. We are not organic chemist, but process engineers, with more background on pyrometallurgical process and reactors.
Regards
