Nomenclature Of Alkenes
« on: March 17, 2016, 06:44:28 PM »
While naming Alkenes, double bond should be given the lowest number possible.
But There are many exceptions like a hydroxyl group gets the lowest number if it is present in the alkene. What are some other exceptions in which the substituent or the functional group is given precedence over the double bond while numbering the chain?
