Hi,
I am working on the attached Sn2 reaction question (Q5.6).
And I am a bit lost here.
My assumption was that only iodine needed to be replaced with the nucleophile, and use the umbrella flip technique.
However, the answer key suggests that I need to replace the whole carbon chain that contains iodine.
Just wondering how this can happen, and how I can tackle this kind of question.
