So I have a solution of propylene glycol and I want to filter out the amylose and amylopectin with the least actual chemical change needed.
The smallest diameter of the amylopectin molecules (19 glucose molecules in this case) is estimate at 0.0285 microns - hence it would be difficult and costly to obtain small enough filter paper (I have 2 micron and 10 micron on hand and a vacuum filtration setup)
I was thinking perhaps of forcing agglutination of the starches and then I could filter this solution?
what do you think?
