I'm a applied physics student doing a project for school.
The goal is to detect 1-10 ppm of acetone in the air. The way this is supposed to be done is via a thin Teflon film on a micro ring resonator.
the gold particles are supposed to increase the sensitivity. How it all works is not important.
my question is, how would i go about getting a thin(1 micrometer) Teflon layer embedded with gold nanoparticles?
