effect of combining acetone as a solvent and ethanol
« on: June 04, 2016, 12:02:57 PM »
i need help Im not very good at chemistry and i was hoping someone could save me. Im mixing a dentin bonding agent ( basically a monomer that is dissolved in an acetone solvent) with ethanolic extract of propolis (a resin), therefore, the end result will be a monomer with 2 types of solvents. what effect will combining both acetone and ethanol have? the evaporation rates are different will this adversely affect my results. Any information about combining these 2 together will be highly appreciated because the bond that resulted was weak and im trying to justify that. TIA
