The following reaction should have a good yield.

Albert:

1. Is this a carbene reaction?
2. If so, aren't you missing a carbon in the product?
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex

Looks good to me.

You could possibly do it the other way around as well, using a diazocompound derived from ethyl methyl ketone and ethylene.

Another option would be to use a Simmons-Smith reagent which uses CH2I2 and [Zn-Cu] to achieve the cyclopropanation.  I'm not 100% positive that it works with enones, however.
