What is the reaction of Chromium(III) oxide and Strong Hydrochloric Acid at room temperature? I am trying to produce Chromium(III) Chloride.

More or less what one could expect, but very slow.

Relatively fast you can solubilize Cr2O3 by reaction in melting NaOH. The you can neutralize with HCl.
