Hello,
Another question.
According to chalk-harrod mechanism, first rxn step is reductive addion of Si-H into Pt catalyst, and so Pt catalyst charge is changed; Pt of Karstedt's catalyst is from 0 to +2, and Pt of speier's one is from -2 to 0. So, in my opinion, Speier's catalyst will take this step easily than Karsredt's one due to electon donating property of metals. This concept is right?
