Has anyone tried it? Is the advantage loading capacity in addition to the Van Deempter equation stuff?

More surface area means better resolution, but also higher back pressure and harder to contain the silica in a column due to small particle size.   If you are doing simple glass columns, I would stick to normal flash silica gel.   We use the mid sized columns from Biotage and ISCO which are closer to 40 A, and they do slightly better, but create high pressures and can clog easier.   You need to be able to go to 50-100 psi do use them well.
