31P-NMR of HPCy3BF4?
« on: June 19, 2006, 01:24:05 PM »
Hi all, I'm starting to suspect something's happened to my tricyclophosphine tetrafluoroborate, like for instance oxidation (although the literature says this should not happen!). Unfortunatly I didn't NMR it when I first recieved it from Aldrich so I don't know if I'm now looking at pure salt or pure oxidised salt/phosphine/whatever. Has anyone run a 31P-NMR of this substance?
Thanks,
Mick

Check this out: http://nmr.chem.indiana.edu/NMRguide/misc/31Pshifts.html

If you think it can help, I can post either the HNMR or the CNMR spectrum of tricyclophosphine tetrafluoroborate.
