Hi,
Say, I want to create an amide compound combining Isophthaloyl chloride and Phenylhydrazine. What will be the best possible way/method for synthesis? Can you mention some authentic literature? Thank you.

I would make the solution of chloride in dry DCM and add it dropwise while cooling to solution of phenylhydrazine+triethylamine (slight excess of both) in dry DCM. It should be done in no-time
