Hey there,

The reaction I'm doing is creating a large amount of HBr over a period of hours. I'm wondering if there is an efficient way of dealing with it as it is corroding my fume hood extraction system. I've tried bubbling it through water but it doesn't seem to absorb it quickly enough, if at all.

Any ideas?

Bubble it through saturated aqueous NaOH.
