Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.

I’m just curious

Dyes with certain fluorescent and bleaching properties are used in super resolution microscopy techniques like STORM imaging, which won the Nobel prize in chemistry 2 years ago

My initial thought was "switch the light off if it is so sensitive", but if it is photochromism perhaps it is reversible.
