I need to make sulfuric acid react with formic acid under a fume cupboard certainly. Do I need to cool with ice water jacket the pot with the acids to reduce to zero the release of formic acid fumes?

Formic acid is not the problem, but an other poisson gas? Which is it?

Carbon monoxide will not affect the subject researched since it in not alive. I am worrying about corrosion and similar effects if hot liquids make formic acid evaporate.
