Advice for Chem Lab?

Hi guys, starting chem soon and with that comes chem lab. I honestly suck at lab work any advice to follow in order for me to prevent making mistakes in the lab instructions for experiment?

Make sure you read understand what you have to do before coming in. I would also recommend writing up a flow chart with what you have to do laid out clearly.

Important alsois that the the school give a safety instruction before touching anything in a lab. Additionally make sure if you had to do an experiment that you know the risks of the used chemicals, etc.
