Hello everybody!
Does anyone know what the stuctureformula does look like, when you mixture 2,6-difluorbenzonitrile with 90% conc. sulfuric acid while its heated?
It has to be a sulfonation reaction and the product has to be an imine.
Tnx!

See attachment for my thoughts about the reaction! Normally by a sulfonation reaction a water molecule is produced. However the sulfate group has to be on the central C-atom (because an imine must have three different side groups right?)
Looking forward to your thoughts!
kind regards,
