Enzyme Kinetics
« on: October 14, 2018, 06:21:58 PM »
Dear all,

I am wondering if someone can explain in me how to compute the number 0.525 in the table below.
Do I have to use the integrated Michaelis-Menten rate equation? I tried everything, integrated equation included, but I cannot understand how that number is computed. These are the only data I do have...
S0/Km         vi                     ((vi-v)/vi)*100 <5%
                                      Maximum extent of reaction X=(S0-S)/S0

20           0.95*Vmax             0.525

Are you certain that this number was computed?  Could it be a data point?
