Removal of sodium chloride from barium chloride
« on: October 19, 2018, 01:31:01 AM »
I want to get barium chloride free from impurity of NaCl but both are water soluble so that methode can't apply..
Another method which i am considering that  treating impure barium chloride with sulfuric acid but i think it will make barium sulphate which can't convert back to barium chloride  .
So it would be great if there any method which can remove  impurity of Nacl from barium chloride..
Melting point method is not under my consideration...

Two things that come to mind are fractional crystallization and ion exchange resin.
