Snyder column vs vigruex column (beyond wikipedia)
« on: November 18, 2018, 12:16:42 PM »
Greetings fellow nerds,

Sorry, couldn't resist stealing nerdrages opening line.

Anyhow, my question is about practical difference of snyder column vs vigruex column. I own both and just curious if it ever makes sense to use vigruex in place of snyder? Would there be any advantage to use snyder after vigruex or will the gains be so small that i won't even see them? I read the wiki page on them and am looking for more real world recommendations than the historical descriptions available on wiki.

Does such a thing as jacketed snyder column exist? Haven't seen one on ebay or google. Seems more efficient to use jacketed snyder to control evaporation/condensation temperature, by using temperature controlled water source.

Thanks ahead
