neutralization reactions resulting in ammonium iodide

so the reaction results in ammonium iodide + water

Im having a hard time figuring out the compound for NH4

Im guesing this though

ammonium hydroxide + hypoiodous acid ----> ammonium iodide + water

is this correct???

Hypoiodous acid can give hypoiodide, not iodide.

But you are more or less right about mixing ammonium hydroxide with acid.
