homemade soap
« on: April 17, 2019, 03:44:21 AM »
hi all
I have made a soap with olive oil and NaOH for myself but it's appearance is not very well, it is some how opaque and patchy, what is my mistake?
thanks in advance for your helpful answers :)

Is there any aeration in the soap? Micro bubbles would cause cloudiness. Or moisture?

I have never made it but if it is air or moisture then maybe letting the liquid stand for longer before letting it cool? Is the liquid nice and clear before it solidifies? Maybe a slower cooling curve?

Tonight I’m going to party like it’s on sale for $19.99!

before cooling it was  homogeneous but while it was cooling at room temperature the liquid was Conglobating, I left it at room temperature to cool and dry but it's appearance compared to commercial soaps is not good at all
