I want to ask about formylation of cycloheaxanone why oily layer is formed after pouring product over ice, and i find also yellow green ppt. but for the oily layer i extracted it with DCM and concentrate it and dissolve it in meOH and ice a brown fine ppt. was formed. what is this part and are the two parts are the same.
