Potassium Iodide in electrochemical cell
« on: July 27, 2019, 06:14:16 PM »
I am having problems with an electrochemical cell used for measuring ozone.

Cathode is a 1% KI solution and the anode is KI saturated. Usually background current is <0.1 microamps. However since changing from 99.5% analaR KI to 99.9% ACS KI the background current is about 0.35 microamps.

Anyone have any ideas why this may be the case?
