How much energy is released when 1 L of O2 reacts with excess sulphur at STP?

Now, I know that 1 L of O2 is 1.429 g, and 1.429 g of O2 = 0.04466 moles.  What else do I do?

How do I find the energy???  Is this another PV=nRT question?

I'd try writing the equation, but I don't know the products.  How do you guys always know the products?

do you know the enthalpy of formation of SO2 in J/mol or equivalent units ? Or the binding energy ?

Than you know how many mol SO2 is formed and thus the energy released/absorbed by the reaction.
