Hey people. I have a project wherein i have to design a plant(on paper) of 10TPD sodium chlorite. The problem is that most of the technologies used, generate salt cake as by-product( can be Na2SO4, NaHSO4 or Na3H(SO4)2 depending on the acid concentration at which the reaction is conducted).
2-5N...Na2SO4
5-9N...Na3H(SO4)2
>9N....NaHSO4
Please help me with the following questions
(1) Do current norms allow landfilling of neutral salt cakes(Na2SO4)?
(2) What would be the operating cost to produce NaOH and H2SO4 from Na2SO4 by electrolysis since they are raw materials for the process (electrical energy per unit mass of NaOH/H2SO4 produced)?
(3) What is the price at which Na2SO4 can be sold in the market?
