Can piranha solution dissolve a diamond?

It is well known that at room temperature no acid can dissolve a diamond. However, I came across these two interesting videos:

and I wondered if it is actually true what chemistry textbooks contain.

I think what he gets is Caros Acid, persulphuric acid. I know that normal carbon will dissolve in nitric acid, perhaps, given enough time like hundreds of years, nitric acid will also dissolve a diamond?
