How would one write out a net ionic equation for a double displacement, where one of the reactants is covalent and the other is ionic? Thanks!

Question was asked to the Person who started the Thread.
Is the bonding in manganese heptoxide covalent? Its liquid at room temperature, but it's a metal oxide.
