Na2S to Na2S2O3 oxidation
« on: July 30, 2020, 02:56:08 AM »
i have a sodium sulfide aqueous solution and i want to change in sodium thiosulphate by only air oxidation.
for this i make sodium sulfide solution and leave for air oxidation for 6 hour.
after this i analyse both solution but  nothing find any reducing compound (Na2S2O3 ) after oxidation.
any suggestion

You have to add sulfurdioxide SO2.
Oxygen will not oxidate it.
