I'm not able to get a definitive answer on this.
If 99% pure Ammonium Chloride crystals (dry) are heated to decomposition (I.e. by dropping hot metals in it like copper, silver, gold, brass... AKA using it as a jewelry deoxidizer and firestain remover) are any amount of Nitrogen Oxides formed (I.e. NO, NOx?)
By the equation, only Hydrogen Chloride gas and Ammonia should be formed. But every once in a while, a search mentions NO.
