Confused as to where the grignard reagent will attack..is it wat the double bond..or at the carbonyl carbon.. I've given the probable products..I think it will be at the double bond since carbonyl carbon is sterically hindered.

Why do you think dibenzosuberone reacts abnormally with Grignard's reagent? I don't see any hindrance to the carbonyl group. An analogous method was used in the synthesis of loratidine.

Grignard add 1,2. Cupurates add 1,4.
