If I add 70% isopropyl alcohol to Wet Ones Antibactierial wipes would it render the active ingredient, benzalkonium chloride (.13%), ineffective? Any other dangers? I was lucky enough to find both items at the grocery and it would be more convenient if the wipes were antiviral as opposed to using the alcohol on another fabric.

Water, SD Alcohol 40, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, PEG-60 Lanolin, Quaternium-52, PEG-8 Dimethicone, Fragrance, Sodium Caprylcamphopropionate, linoleammonium chloride, Disodium EDTA, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Citric Acid.

What is the point? Just use isopropyl alcohol. It kills bacteria and viruses on its own. And the Wet ones wipes probably have some low boiling alcohol like isopropanol in them already.

Furthermore, benzalkoniums do inactivate most viruses, but perhaps not as quickly as alcohol. Influenza is listed as one it works on in this paper

if you add %70 propanol, you had do two active materials.  isopropyl alcohol and benzalkonium chloride.its effect does not decrease but 70% isopropylalcohol will smell bad.

why do you using preservatives while your product isopropyl alcohol content.
