A simple question about conversion.

Hello! so we were given this assignment
What is the volume of gas which exerts a pressure of
845 torr
if a
15L
gas exerts a pressure of
700
mmhg?
my solution would be
P
1
V
1
= P
2
V
2
Labelled respectfully as:
P1 = 700 mmhg
P2 = 845 torr
V1 = 15L
V2 = unknown
Notice that the P values are both different one being mmhg and one being torr. My question is which one do I convert to match the other unit is it mmhg to torr or torr to mmhg

No, since they are asking for a volume, not a pressure. I suppose you could play them at their own game and give the answer in different volume units (as long as you got the conversion right), e.g if the answer was 20.5 L you could say 20.5 dm
