Hi, I'm trying to reproduce a simple experiment from one of my Grandad's notebooks. I am an amateur. Unfortunately he passed away many years ago, so he can't clarify this. The chemical "carboxyphthalamid" is listed as a component but I'm unable to find a listing for it from any supplier. It is also spelled "Carboxy phthalamid" in the document. There are several similarly named substances available most similarly "n-carbethoxy phthalimide". Is this what he refers to?
Could it be an obsolete name? Simple error? Or an error of omission? Or maybe it's an obscure substance. The step in the experiment indicates that it is part of a termination reaction. Can anyone give me a clue what this might be?
Thanks!
