Stupid question? Probably.

My friend stole a few mini beakers and testubes.
The testubes look like they were never used, but the mini beakers sure do.

IS there anyway we can totally clean these out and not risk dying from drinking out of them.

Stupid question? Probably.

Stupid for a couple of reasons.

1. You should never consume food or drink from laboratory glassware that has actually been used in the laboratory. You have no idea what has been in the beakers and test-tubes.

2. You STOLE the glassware! AND you are admitting it! As someone who runs a University lab I have little respect for people who steal our equipment.

My advice, give the stolen property back and go out and by a cup.

I am not the one that took it.
Also, he has just informed me that they are both cracked

and the testtubes are plastic. I did not know they ahve plastic test tubes.

If they are cracked is it possible that chemicals could stay in that crack?

There is always a possibility that nasty chemicals are adhered to any surface in a lab.  Sometimes these things don't come off with just soap and water and can be extremely dangerous!

Don't waste your time and risk it.  There is no gain to be had!

Can anyone suggest a place to buy beakers at low cost.
I am assuming you can legally buy beakers. I kinda want one.. by legit terms.
I tried ebay, but they werent like pyrex.. the ones i found at least.

You could just buy them from the lab instead of taking them. Most labs would happily sell you a beaker (as long it is in accoddance with local laws in your area).

NEVER do this, One of my colleague did this mistake once and after that she was in hospital for one month. U must keep the drinking and eating stuff out of lab.

Any local scientific glass company could sell you a non-toxic one.
