MnO4(-) + H2C2O4+ H(+)--> Mn(2+)+ CO2+H20
I've never balanced with charges before. I've tried the algebraic approach, but that didn't work with the charges and I don't know what the molecular equation was so can you head me in the right direction.

how would i balance this one?

It's an oxididation reaction: you have to use the two half equations.

Charge must be balanced just like every element, the only difference is elements doesn't came in positive/negative varieties.
