I'm a Photographer and I hope you can help me.
What is the difference between these two substances: "Potassium Chloroplatinite" and "Potassium Chloroplatinate"

We Use the "Potassium Chloroplatinite" for the "Platinum Printing", but I can't find that on Sigma-Aldrich website.
I just found the "Potassium Chloroplatinate". The link below:

Potassium Chloroplatinite = K₂PtCl₄
Potassium Chloroplatinate = K₂KCl₆

Potassium chloroplatinite is K₂PtCl₄, -ate is K₂PtCl₆. They are also known as potassium tetrachloroplatinate(II) and potassium hexachloroplatinate(IV). See e.g. https://www.sigmaaldrich.com/GB/en/product/aldrich/323411

Hello the difference between the named substances is the chemical formula. Potassiumchlorplatinite is a different chemical as Potassiumchlorplatinate. The differnce is the charge number of the platinum ion which forms the anion complex with the Chlorine.
