Amount of alcohol needed for preservation
« on: July 31, 2023, 09:42:36 AM »
Hi.

I'm planning to preserve something. The strongest alcohol I can get is 72%. Wondering if there is 13 % of alcohol in the mixture, what would the percentages of glycerine and bth be.

Anyone attempting to give hints to you on how to answer the question may need more information and a clearer question without abbreviations / text speak like

bth
.

For instance
what kind of alcohol  (example  drinking or wood  or rubbing)
(if it is booze or denatured then it has other stuff in it typically)
what is the 72% that you mentioned mixed with (example - glycerin or water)
what do you intend to mix it with (example - glycerin or water)

what do you mean

edit ..
I forgot
when you say percent with alcohol
do you mean by weight or by volume
