Four Rivers Kennel LLC is a small business in Walker, MO in operation since 2012. Four Rivers is a 148 dog nutritional studies research facility.

Four Rivers is seeking an organized, responsible, and dedicated researcher to assist our R&D Director in further developing our GC-MS, IRMS, HPLC, and calorimetry laboratories. Four Rivers Kennel is a Nutritional Studies Research kennel housing 148 Labrador Retriever pet partners, used in research trials for nutritional requirements, feed additives, palatability, etc.

A qualified applicant will possess:

PhD (Post-Doc) or work experience in the field of research (Research Associate).
GC-MS, HPLC, and/or IRMS experience
Experience developing and validating methods using GC & HPLC with various detectors is HIGHLY PREFERRED
Experience writing grants, proposals for research projects, and final reports.
Biology, chemistry, and/or nutrition laboratory experience is a must.
Statistical analysis experience with emphasis in experimental design.
Excellent communication skills, ability to deliver results independently, and a strong desire to collaborate is critical.
Cell culture application knowledge is beneficial but not required
IRMS; GC-MS & HPLC; digestibility by proximate analysis knowledge/experience highly preferred
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Your chief function would include working closely with our R&D Director and VP of Operations to identify areas of expansion (GC-MS, HPLC, IRMS & calorimetry laboratories); develop methodologies & SOPs, along with performing project analyses as a product of the SOP development.
Work to develop and connect canine research with Four Rivers' rapidly expanding analytical capabilities
Data collection/oversight
Report writing
Grant writing
Statistical data analysis
Present/publish work externally in journals or at conferences.
Multitask effectively and manage dynamic workload including routine work and multiple projects.
Salary is negotiable; based on experience and education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year, negotiable depending on experience and education.
