Choice of palladium catalyst for Miyaura Borylation
« on: January 16, 2024, 03:17:49 PM »
I have both Pd(dppf)Cl2 and Pd(PPh3)Cl2. I have been trying to perform a borylation of 4-bromo-3-formyl coumarin derivative. So far, both have seemed to get me similar results and unwanted byproducts (One of which I believe is hydrogenation at carbon 3).

My main question is: Are there known pros and cons to both catalysts? Can someone throw any literature my way?
