heya guys

I have a problem with a question i got in a test
It says "A student had two distinct compounds, A and B, which both had the molecular formula C5H12.  When reacted with bromine in the presence of uv light, A formed only on monobrominated compound whereas B formed three.  Deduce the structures of A and B and name them.

I have to admit i have no idea what monobrominated compound is.  I was thinking it might be like a Carbon Hydrogen and Bromine compound...
Any help with this question would be greatly appreciated if you can spare it

C2H6 brominated forms C2H5Br
C3H8 forms CH3-CHBr-CH3 and CH3-CH2-CH2-Br when brominated

Think about normal (unbranched) pentane (A) and branched with tertiary carbon atom (B).
