Chain reaction model for tributyl tinhydride radical chemistry
« on: November 15, 2006, 12:43:44 PM »
I just want to share with you this model I made for a typical chain reaction between a radical and an alkene. I will have a presentation in this subject very soon. I hope for some comments  :)
No single thing abides, but all things flow.
Fragment to fragment clings, and thus they grow
Until we know and name them.
Then by degrees they change and are no more
The things we know.

looks pretty cool

maybe I would change the adding alkene things. those confused me at first

instead of R3. I would write Bu3SnC-C.-R or something. I was wondering where the tin was going at first but I think that's what it does?

You might also add a step where you dimerize two alkyl radicals.
