H2 O2 optimal combustion ratio
« on: December 04, 2006, 10:52:03 AM »
2. What ratio of H2 to O2 is optimal?  Use a balanced chemical equation to answer this question.

this is an experiment were hydrogen gas is formed and collected in a small pipet, then oxygen gas is formed and collected in the same pipet. we are meant to determine the best ratio of hydrogen gas to oxygen gas so when we ignite it by using a piezoelectric sparker the pipet would theoretically go the farthest because it has the best combustion ratio, i guess....

Help please.

You were specifically asked to write and balance reaction equation. Do it.
