Aspects of Chemistry Used for Car Mechanics

Hey everyone, i have an assignment and I have to research the Career of an Auto/Car Mechanic and the main topic is the aspect of chemistry used for that career.

Read this first.

Think about what's going on in an engine. If you don't know how a combustion engine works, you probably should go to howstuffworks.com.

Also besides combustion, look into antifreeze and oil. You can also talk about the exhaust.

I am not sure if the catalytic converter would be part of the mechanic career.
