[Edit] Materials scientists also may be something to look at. I'm not sure what it really is. I've just assumed it to be different from chemists.

At the end of the article is a link to other Cover Story sections, which is quite a few regarding Employment of chemists (that was what the whole edition was basically about).
Within all the content is where people with just a BS typically find work, salaries, overall perspective, different companies benefits and such.

I guess everybody else can see that? I am a member of the ACS and logged in, but most of what I was referring to appears to be free for everybody?
