Balanced equation
« on: January 07, 2007, 02:55:29 PM »
Need to write a balanced chemical equation for the reaction between hydrogen selenide and tin. I know that the hydrogen selenide decomposes producing solid tin selenide and hydrogen gas but how would I balance that in the equation. Any help gratefully recieved

Start with the two reactants: H2Se and Sn

I think you need some adjustments to your formula

On the Periodic Table
Sn is in the same column as C
Se is in the same column as O
